World champion Argentina will extend its partnership with head coach Lionel Scaloni, the head of the Argentine Football Association, Claudio Tapia announced.
"Scaloni is the coach of the Argentine National Team. We’re both men of our word, we agree on our word. He went on a trip to Spain for a passport issue for one of his children and when I return to the country we will talkas we did until yesterday," TyC Sports quoted Tapia as saying.
Scaloni, 44, took charge of Argentina's national team in 2018. Under his leadership, the team won the America's Cup and the World Cup. Scaloni's contract runs through Dec. 31.
