French President Emmanuel Macron plans to attend the final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Reigning World Cup champions France and Copa America's titleholders Argentina will clash in the 2022 World Cup final.
Macron wants to go to Doha with the footballers of the French national team who were left out of the squad due to injuries, reports RMC Sport.
Among them are Karim Benzema, Paul Pogba, Christopher Nkunku, and N'Golo Kante.
Benzema, however, will receive a 2022 World Cup medal because he has remained on the squad list of France.
The 2022 World Cup final will be played Sunday and will start at 7pm Armenia time.
