Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, 33, commented on his not being on the German national team list. He will not participate in the World Cup.
Hummels says this is the main disappointment of his career. He will idolize his national team at the World Cup and use this month to improve his training as he has always done, Bayern & Germany reported.
Hummels won the 2014 World Cup with the German national team.
Germany will face Spain, Japan and Costa Rica in the group stage of the World Cup, which begins Nov. 20 in Qatar.
