Armenia’s Arsen Harutyunyan wins world title 2nd time

Wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan (Armenia) was declared world champion.

The two-time European champion faced Taiyrbek Zhumashbek Uulu (Kyrgyzstan) in the 61kg Freestyle Wrestling final at the U23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain, and won 7-5 in a tense fight.

And after winning the title of world U23 champion, Harutyunyan made the championship round with the national flag of Armenia.

Arsen Harutyunyan has won the world U23 title for the second time. The first time he had become world champion was in 2021 in Belgrade, Serbia.
