FIDE Grand Prix: Aronian to face Nakamura in final

Former leader of the Armenian men’s national chess team Levon Aronian (USA) will compete against Hikaru Nakamura (USA) in the final of the first tournament of the FIDE Grand Prix series, which is coming to an end in Berlin.

In his semifinals, Aronian defeated Leinier Dominguez (USA), a former representative of Cuba.

The first game of the final will be played Tuesday.

The FIDE Grand Prix series is the last chance to book a spot to the Candidates Tournament. Two spots are up for grabs, and each chess player competes in two of the three tournaments in this series.
