Ronaldo's mother announces when her son will retire from football

The mother of Manchester United and Portugal star forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 36, has announced when her son will retire from professional football.

“I have already asked him if he wants to become a coach when he ends his football career. He told me that he wants to enjoy life. He will play until the age of 40,” Dolores Aveiro was quoted as saying by The Sun.

The current contract of Ronaldo, who transferred from Juventus to Man United in August—and for €15 million, is expected to run until June 2023.
