World’s first racket, Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic made it to the semi-final of the tennis tournament at the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo after outscoring his Japanese opponent Kei Nishikori 6-2, 6-0.
Djokovic scored the 13th victory during a solo game at the Olympic Games and was equaled to record-setting Swiss tennis player Roger Federer with this indicator.
Djokovic is the only tennis player who has made it to the semi-final of the Olympic Games for the third time after Beijing 2008 and London 2012.
Djokovic’s opponent in the semi-final will be the winner of the match between Germany’s Alexander Zverev and France’s Jeremy Chardy.
The other pair of the semi-final are Russia’s Karen Khachanov and Spain’s Pablo Careno-Busta, who defeated Russia’s Daniil Medvedev 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) in 1 hour and 42 minutes.
Karen Khachanov outscored France’s Ugo Humbert 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 6-3.
