We have agreed a deal in principle for the transfer of @RaphaelVarane to United! #MUFC
After playing for Real Madrid for a decade, center-back for world’s champion France national team Raphael Varane has moved to Manchester United, which have officially announced the transfer. Real Madrid thanked the footballer.
Raphael Varane’s contract with Real Madrid was set to end after next season.
English media reported that the transfer of the 28-year-old footballer will comprise EUR 45,000,000, even though Real Madrid was expecting to receive EUR 70,000,000 from the sale of Varane.
In 2011, the French center-back moved from Lancy to Real Madrid with which he played 360 matches and scored 18 titles.
