The Chinese national team won the first gold medal of the 32nd Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Yang Qian became an Olympic champion in the 10m air rifle competition of the women's shooting event. She scored 251.8 points, setting an Olympic record.
Fifty female athletes took part in this competition.
China has already won two titles on the first medal day of Tokyo 2020. In the women's 49kg weight category, the gold medal was won by Zhihui Hou who lifted a combined weight of 210 kg (94 kg + 116 kg).
