Roma’s Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho has his eye on Iranian forward for FC Zenit Saint Petersburg Sardar Azmoun, Corriere dello Sport reports.
Azmoun will become Roma’s main transfer goal, if the transfer of Italian striker Andrea Belotti’s transfer from Torino fails. Roma intend to sell Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko.
Azmoun has been playing for FC Zenit Saint Petersburg since 2019 and has also played for Rubin and Rostov.
The 26-year-old footballer has been playing for the Iran national team since 2014. During the Russian championship that ended, Azmoun played 24 matches, scored 19 goals and made 2 passes for goals.
