North and Central American team in Club World Cup final for first time

Tigres have advanced to the final of the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar.

In the semifinals, the Mexican club defeated Libertadores Cup holders Palmeiras (Brazil) 1-0.

Tigres have become the first North and Central American club that will play in the Club World Cup final.

Their opponents in the final of this international football competition will be determined in Monday’s semifinal clash between Bayern Munich (Germany) and Al Ahly (Egypt).
