Midfielder for the Armenia national football team Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s contract with Roma will be automatically extended, if the 32-year-old footballer plays another match as a member of the Italian football team, Football Italia reported.
The existing contract envisages the point according to which Mkhitaryan’s contract will be extended after playing 25 matches during the 2020-21 season.
This season, Mkhitaryan played 24 matches, scored 10 goals and made passes for 10 goals with Roma.
The existing contract ends in June 2021.
Due to muscle problems, Mkhitaryan didn’t play the match against Spezia in the 19th round of the Italian championship (4-3). During the Italian football championship, the midfielder missed the first match.
The senior member of the Armenia national football team is expected to play the next match of Roma to be held on January 31 (match with Verona).
