French chief coach of Clermont FC Michel Der Zakarian spoke on his club’s play in the 28th round of the French Second Division in an interview with L`Equipe.
The team has lost many matches and played in a draw in recent ones, however, they have to be on the top in the match against Istres FC. In order to be in the Premier League, Clermont players should train hard, the coach stated.
Der Zakarian also stated that football is not so popular in Clermont-Ferrand conditioned by the lack of corresponding infrastructures. The overall number of the audience makes only 5,000 people, as people prefer rugby to football.
