Henrikh Mkhitaryan: I learned a lot from Lucescu

Armenian squad and Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan had an interview with Velikiy Football and recalled his time at Shakhtar club, isport.ua reported.

“I moved to Shakhtar because of Mircea Lucescu. Thanks to him, I played in England, Italy and Germany. I have learned a lot and am grateful for this chance. Lucescu and I had many good matches, but my last match for Shakhtar is the most memorable,” he said. “I watched Shakhtar football when Paulo Fonseca was a coach. I liked his style of the game, he found a common language with the players. Paulo sought out young talents and revealed them. I enjoy working together because he understands football well.”

Mkhitaryan, who is on loan for Roma this season, scored six goals and made four assists in 17 appearances.
