Marcos Pizzelli on end of career with Armenian football team and future plans

Marcos Pizzelli, 35, has ended his career as a member of the Armenian national football team after transferring from Kazakhstan’s Aktobe. This is what Pizzelli told NEWS.am Sport.

“I have decided to end my career with the Armenian national football team. I don’t feel like a key figure in the team as I used to. Of course, my age also played a role.

I still haven’t made a final decision on my career in football clubs. I will most probably continue to play. I have offers from Armenia. I don’t see myself much as a coach after playing football,” Pizzelli stated.

Newly appointed head coach of the Armenian national football team Abraham Khashmanyan hasn’t invited Pizzelli to the matches with Greece and Italy in the last two rounds of the European championship’s qualifying tournament.

Pizzelli, who has been playing for the Armenian national football team since 2008, scored 11 goals during 68 matches with the team.
