Real Madrid midfielder Hames Rodriguez intends to pursue a career in Atletico, managingmadrid reported.
The 27-year-old player has received an offer from the Italian Napoli, but prefers to return to Spain. Atletico is awaiting payment for the transfer of French striker Antoine Griezmann for 120 million euros to pay 42 million euros for Hames Rodriguez.
Hames spent the last two seasons in Bayern Munich on loan. His contract with Real Madrid is scheduled for 2021.
