Armenia’s Samvel Ter-Sahakyan ended in a draw his Round 8 match at the World Junior Chess Championship held in Athens.
Karen Grigoryan was defeated by China’s Yangyi Yu, Vahe Baghdasaryan shared points with Italy’s Axel Rombaldoni.
Ter-Sahakyan is sharing the fourth spot and is half a point behind of Alexander Ipatov from Turkey, Yangyi Yu from China and Richard Rapport from Hungary.
Karen Grigoryan is ranked 12th, Vahe Baghdasaryan is 45th.
In the girls’ tournament Armenia’s Shushanna Sargsyan gained the second victory and is 37th in the crosstable.
