Vanes Martirosyan vs. Erislandy Lara

American-Armenian junior middleweight boxing contender Vanes Martirosyan (32-0, with 20 KOs) has expressed a readiness to fight Cuban Erislandy Lara on July 27.

Recently Vanes, 26, had rejected an offer to face Lara for a WBC bout.

The winner of this fight will improve his ranking and be able to fight current WBC Light Middleweight Champion, Saul “Canelo” Álvarez of Mexico.

To note, Vanes Martirosyan will get into the ring this Saturday in California against the American, Ryan Davis.

“I just talked to my manager this morning and he said there is an offer to fight Lara on July 27. I agreed. I’m going to take him [Lara] to school. I think he was fighting the amateur way.
[And] I’m not even thinking about the fight on July 7 [Saturday]. I have to be fast and get the guy [Davis] out of there so I can focus on the next one,” Boxingscene quotes Vanes Martirosyan as saying.
