As a result of the voting conducted by the Republican Federation of Sports Journalists of Armenia, Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Aleksanyan, who was crowned World Greco-Roman Wrestling Champion this year, has been recognized as Armenia’s 2014 Athlete of the Year.
Greco-Roman wrestler Arsen Julfalakyan, who likewise became world Greco-Roman Wrestling Champion this year, and weightlifter Ruben Aleksanyan came in second and third, respectively.
NEWS.am Sport, however, did not participate in the vote.
