Tuchel: The referees made a disastrous decision

Thomas Tuchel, Bayern Munich's head coach, complained about the refereeing after their 1-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the return leg of the Champions League semi-final.

In extra time of the match after a long pass from "Bayern" midfielder Joshua Kimmich, Dutch defender Matthijs De Ligt scored a goal, but the head referee of the match Szymon Marciniak did not waited until the end of the episode and blew the whistle, recording offside.

"Everyone must act to the best of their ability, without making mistakes. The referee also has to match that level.

Reverse excuses are useless. You are on the pitch because you are the best. And we have the right to expect that from the referee until the last second.

After conceding the second goal in added time, we scored them, but the flank and head referees made a disastrous decision.

It was an incredible battle and we almost got the goal. Now congratulations to Real Madrid," the BBC quoted Tuchel as saying.

Real Madrid's opponent in the final, which will take place on 1 June at Wembley Stadium in London, will be "Borussia Dortmund," who knocked out French champions "PSG."
