Current leaders PSG played host to Rennes in the 24th round of the French Ligue 1, and they won 1-0 thanks to the goal by their French star striker Kylian Mbappe.
Argentine star forward Lionel Messi, who was in the starting lineup of PSG and played the whole match, made the assist.
But Brazilian star striker Neymar, who has recovered from injury, was not on the PSG squad list for this game.
PSG lead the current Ligue 1 standings, with 59 points, and are 16 points ahead of second-place Marseille, which, however, have played one less match. Rennes are fifth, with 37 points.
