London Olympics 2012: Armenia’s Patrikeev v Russia’s Baroev

Greco-Roman wrestler Yuri Patrikeev will be the only athlete to represent Armenia on the 10th day of the London Olympic Games.   

In the last-16 of 120 kilogram category Patrikeev will face Russia’s Khasan Baroev.

Baroev’s participation in the 2004 Olympic Games urged Patrikeev to leave Russia’s national. Back in 2004 the coaches entrusted Baroev to represent Russia at the Olympics. After winning gold in Athens, Baroev managed to reach the Beijing finals but was defeated by Cuba’s Mijain Lopes. Patrikeev won bronze.

The fight will start at 4:15 p.m., Yerevan time.
