Pyeongchang 2018: Armenian athletes’ performance

 Armenian athletes finished their performance at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

Armenia had three representatives at Pyeongchang 2018: skiers Mikayel Mikayelyan, Katya Galstyan and alpine skier Ashot Karapetyan.

On February 13, 18-year-old Mikayel Mikayelyan could not pass the Men’s Sprint Classic Qualification in cross-country skiing, while on February 16, Mikaelyan placed 83rd among 116 athletes, in the Men’s 15km Free event.

Skier Katya Galstyan placed 72nd among 90 athletes in the Ladies’ 10km Free cross-country skiing competition.

Ashot Karapetyan showed the best result among Armenian representatives. Alpine skier Ashot Karapetyan placed 42nd in the Men’s Slalom Run 2.

As reported earlier, a record 102 medals will be awarded at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The Olympics closing ceremony will be held on February 25.
