FC Barcelona have advanced to the Spanish Copa del Rey semifinals.
Barça on Thursday played host to Espanyol in their Copa del Rey quarterfinal return leg, and they beat the guests by a score of 2-0.
Uruguay forward Luis Suárez opened the score, and Argentina forward Lionel Messi doubled it. His goal was Barcelona’s 4,000th goal at Camp Nou, their home stadium.
In addition, Brazil midfielder Philippe Coutinho, who recently transferred from Liverpool, made his debut for Barça at this match, as he entered the pitch in the 68th minute.
