Cristiano Ronaldo expected to make statement regarding his future this week

FC Real Madrid’s (Spain) Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to make a formal statement regarding his future within the current week, according to The Times.

The 32-year-old star footballer recently announced that he was not going to talk to anyone about his future.

Spanish prosecutors accuse the four-time FIFA Ballon d’Or award winner of evading tax of €14.7 million on image rights income between 2011 and 2014.

The captain of the Portuguese national squad is unhappy with the way in which the people and media in Spain treat him over this development, and therefore he plans to leave the country. 

Real’s management, however, is trying to persuade him to stay.
