Yana Egorian: Journalists want rating and write so that people read

Two-times Olympic fencing champion Yana Egorian has upon the request of NEWS.am Sport correspondent commented on the statement made in an interview with “Экспресс газета” (Express Gazeta).

“I am Armenian by descent but I have many friends from Azerbaijan [too]. And I don’t care about the high-level problems existing between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” eg.ru writes, citing the athlete.

However, Egorian refutes saying this.

“No, I didn’t say that! Journalists want rating and write so that people read,” she noted.

Earlier, the fencer was outraged by the misinformation on her personal life.
