Artur Aleksanyan is recognized Armenia 2015 Athlete of the Year

As a result of the survey conducted by the Armenian Republican Federation of Sports Journalists, Olympic bronze medalist and two-time world and three-time European champion Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Aleksanyan has been recognized Armenia’s 2015 Athlete of the Year.

Website of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia informed the aforesaid.

A total of 34 sports journalists participated in this survey.

Armenia national football squad captain and Borussia Dortmund (BVB; Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, however, was not among the respective top ten.

And the men’s national chess team—which were the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions—were recognized Armenia’s 2015 Team of the Year.
