Russian Armenian Margarita Gasparyan (Russia) has advanced to the quarterfinals at the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Baku Cup being held in the Azerbaijani capital city.
In the first and second rounds, Gasparyan defeated Dominika Cibulková (Slovakia) and Yang Zhaoxuan (China), respectively.
The WTA Baku Cup prize money is US$226,000, and the winner of this tournament will be determined on Sunday.
