Armenian boxer Arthur Abraham, who is the reining WBO Super Middleweight Champion, congratulated Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Aleksanyan (Armenia), who on Sunday was crowned world champion for the first time.
“While all Armenians were enjoying the joy of the victory by [Armenia’s] Arsen Julfalakyan [in the 75 kg competition], the second similar opportunity was created: our fellow countryman Artur Aleksanyan became a world champion.
“His success is extremely encouraging and compelling for others to achieve similar success in future competitions.
“Respect, Artur! Your championship fight was a spectacular match. You are the king of wrestling! Well done,” the 34-year-old boxer’s press service disseminated this message.
Armenia’s Artur Aleksanyan won a gold medal at the 2014 Wrestling World Championships that wrapped up in Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan.
