Alexander Ovechkin’s goal helped Washington Capital to win in overtime against the New York Islanders.
The Capitals got two goals from the Islanders in the final 3½ minutes but Ovechkin managed to bring victory to his team in the overtime.
In other matches Detroit Red Wings got 5-2 victory over Columbus, while Toronto lost in a home match against Florida.
