Armenian Grandmaster (GM) Elina Danielian defeated GM Humpy Koneru (India) in Round 9 of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) Women’s Grand Prix being held in Georgia.
After nine rounds, Danielian, who plays first board for the Armenian national women’s chess team, has tallied 5.5 points and she shares third to fourth places.
The current leader of the tournament is GM Hou Yifan (China) with 8 points.
