Armenia’s representative Narek Abgaryan had a winning start at the AIBA World Boxing Championships being held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
In the 52 kilogram category, the Armenian boxer defeated Mumin Veli (Macedonia) by a score of 3-0 and advanced to the round of 8.
On Sunday, Hovhannes Bachkov (60 kg) will fight in the round of 16.
To note, in the round of 32, Aram Avagyan (56 kg) had beaten Gamal Yafai (England) by a score of 3-0, Arman Amirkhanyan (69 kg) had defeated Artyom Masili (Israel) likewise by a score of 3-0.
