Puluzyan was not serious opponent for Zaytsev – Russian boxer’s personal trainer

I carefully followed Arthur Puluzyan’s bouts. He is a tall, receptive boxer, but he was not a serious challenger for Zaytsev, said the Russian boxer Artyom Zaytsev’s personal trainer Viktor Fakhrutdinov, during the 2012 London Olympics qualifiers currently underway in Trabzon, Turkey.

“I was carefully following the Armenian boxer. I had seen Puluzyan’s first match. He is a tall, very receptive boxer. He sees the opponent. He works well during a counterattack. But despite all his positive qualities, he was not a serious competitor for Artyom. It was necessary to simply choose the right tactic,” Ves Sport quotes Fakhrutdinov as saying.

Russia’s Artyom Zaytsev defeated Armenia’s Arthur Puluzyan in the 64-kg category, during the last qualifiers for the Olympics, and he will compete in the semifinals.

So, Armenia will have but one boxer at the 2012 London Olympics, and he is Andranik Hakobyan (75 kg), who had qualified as a result of his performance at the world championships held in the Azerbaijani capital Baku.
