YEREVAN. – From among Armenia’s boxers solely Andranik Hakobyan (75 kg) has so far qualified to compete in the 2012 London Olympics, but his other teammates could join him in London. And this will become clear after the Olympic rating European tournament which will get underway Saturday in Trabzon, Turkey.
Armenia’s national boxing team head coach Karen Aghamalyan noted that the squad’s all seven boxers, who will compete at this tournament, are victors and medal-winners in world and European championships, and have a rich experience of participating in international competitions. And they have a good chance to qualify for the London Olympics, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia official website informs.
