DONETSK. – As a result of a poll, Armenian national football squad and Ukraine’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan was recognized as the best player of the 2012/2013 season of the Ukrainian Premier League.
A total of 2,409 Shakhtar fans took part in the poll which was conducted on the club website, and 1,519 (63.06%) fans voted for the Armenian international.
Douglas Costa finished fifth, receiving 55 (2.28%) votes. Taison is a bit ahead of his compatriot, as 56 (2.32%) respondents picked Shakhtar’s newcomer. Darijo Srna took third place, as 158 (6.56%) fans voted for the captain. And Fernandinho claimed second spot with 158 (6.56%) votes, FC Shakhtar Donetsk official website reports.
