Armenian national football team and Ukraine’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan became the top scorer of the 2012-2013 season of the Ukrainian Premier League.
At the end of the season, Mkhitaryan, 24, had no contest and, by scoring 25 goals, he surpassed his nearest challenger, Nigerian forward Brown Ideye, by eight goals.
In addition, the Armenian international also set a new record for the number of goals scored in one season in the Ukrainian Premier League, as the previous record was 22 goals.
