I wish I could play now and in 20 years’ time – Henrikh Mkhitaryan

DONETSK. – It would be interesting if I could play now, and then in some twenty years again.

Armenian national football team and Ukraine’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan said the abovementioned in the May issue of Shakhtar official club magazine.

The Ukrainian team’s top scorer of this season reflected on the difference in football of different decades.

“I can’t tell you that. After all, I haven’t seen that football in real life. Now, the equipment is different, the cameras. Maybe that’s why football seems all the more dynamic to everyone, well, possibly, the speed has really increased.

In general, it would be interesting if I could play now, and then in some 20 years again. That’s when I would say whether it is possible to compete and who would win.

But football has been fun both in those days and now. Football is still football – that’s the most important thing, and the teams and players are improving every year,” the Armenian international stated.
