Armenia and Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan commented on setting a record in the Ukrainian championship.
In the 28th week, FC Shakhtar Donetsk defeated SC Tavriya Simferopol by a score of 5-0, during which Mkhitaryan scored two goals for his club, setting a record of the Ukrainian championship.
Mkhitaryan said he wanted to score a field goal but “Mister said I had to perform a penalty kick.”
“Thanks God, everything happened as it should happen: I kept the promise and followed coach’s directions,” Segodnya quotes Mkhitaryan.
It was Tavriya that prevented Mkhitaryan’s former club Metallurg from winning the trophy three years ago.
“May be it is a higher football justice,” he said.
