DONETSK. – I feel fresh after a one-month break, Armenian national football squad and Ukraine’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan stated.
Following the New Year holidays, Shakhtar held its first training session on Monday.
“I have returned [to Shakhtar] with a festive mood; I had missed everyone so much. I have regained my strength by preparing for the trainings. I went to the gym for a few days, during my vacation in Armenia, and worked on the sports equipment.
The holidays went very well. I was with my family and friends. We accept guests and visit relatives from December 31 to January 5. I stayed at home in the New Year.
It is always nice to receive awards, but we cannot be satisfied with what we have accomplished; there is a lot of work ahead. I thank all those who believed in my strength and recognized me as Armenia’s 2012 footballer of the year,” FC Shakhtar’s official website quotes Henrikh Mkhitaryan as saying.
