Armenia’s representative, world No. 82 Alina Charaeva, was defeated in the opening round of the WTA-250 women’s tennis tournament in Hong Kong.
Her opponent in the first round was world No. 81, Croatia’s Antonia Ruzic, who won the match 7:6 (7:5), 6:4. The contest lasted 2 hours and 12 minutes.
The prize fund for the Hong Kong tournament is $283,000.
