The Portuguese head coach of Spanish runners-up Real Madrid Jose Mourinho praised English midfielder Jude Bellingham, who plays under his guidance, following a 3-2 victory over Greece’s AEK Athens in the fourth round of the Champions League.
"Jude is an exceptional footballer, he has performed brilliantly since my arrival. There is no more versatile player, no other midfielder, in world football right now than Bellingham. It’s hard to find the words, because he is an absolutely exceptional player.
Even on days when he isn’t putting in an incredible performance, he provides immense value to the team through his hard work, leadership qualities, ambition, technical skill, and his ability to score goals," AS quotes Mourinho as saying.
In the match against AEK Athens, Bellingham scored a goal and was named the man of the match.
