The third round of matches in the UEFA Champions League has concluded.

Italian champions Inter Milan defeated Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk 1–0 at home.

Former captain of the Armenian national team, 37-year-old midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, came on as a substitute in the 75th minute; two minutes later, Brazilian midfielder Carlos Augusto scored following an assist from Mkhitaryan.

Spanish runners-up Real Madrid defeated Germany’s RB Leipzig 4–1 on their home turf.
