A forward for the French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the Georgian national team Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has sustained a serious knee injury during a Champions League league-phase match against the Spanish champions, Barcelona.
He could be sidelined for approximately 9 months, according to a post on social media by sports physiotherapist Angel Villanueva.
Kvaratskhelia was substituted in the 59th minute. In the same match, French forward Ousmane Dembele and Brazilian defender Marquinhos were also substituted due to injuries.
PSG defeated Barcelona 4–2 and currently lead the standings.
