Emin Ohanyan won the "Atyrau Open 2026" International Chess Tournament held

Emin Ohanyan won the "Atyrau Open 2026" International Chess Tournament held in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

The tournament brought together 109 chess players from 19 countries, including 30 Grandmasters.

Emin remained undefeated throughout the tournament, scoring 7 points out of 9, sharing 1st–2nd place, and taking 1st place on tiebreaks.

IM Sergey Sklokin-Bagiyan also finished among the prize-winners, taking 7th place with 6 points.

13-year-old Sergey Sklokin-Bagiyan also completed his second Grandmaster norm at the tournament.
