Vinicius on his suspension: I have never acted violently toward others

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has commented on his four-match suspension.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) handed down the sanction to the Brazilian player following a La Liga match against Valencia (1–0). Vinicius received a red card for grabbing Canadian midfielder Nathan-Dylan Saliba by the hair.

"I was informed about the suspension at the worst possible moment—just as I arrived at the stadium for the Champions League match against Roma. I wasn't aware of this new rule, no one had explained to us that you aren't allowed to pull someone’s hair.

I have never acted violently toward other players. I’m on the receiving end of fouls quite often myself, yet somehow, I’m always the one who ends up getting the cards," Vinicius is quoted as saying by Marca.

Vinicius will miss the La Liga matches against Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing, and Valencia.
