Head coach of Italian champions Inter Milan Cristian Chivu commented on the 3–4 defeat to Belgian side Club Brugge in the second round of the Champions League league phase.
"We were poor in our pressing and left the opposition with too much space. It is difficult to pinpoint a single reason for our two Champions League defeats. We are aware of what has happened, but that doesn't mean our team is weaker than last year.
We have six matches left, and we will do our utmost to turn the situation around. We need to find the right balance and adapt to the high demands of the tournament," TuttoMercatoWeb quotes Chivu as saying.
Inter suffered their second consecutive defeat in the Champions League. In the first round, the Milan club lost 1–2 to Real Madrid.
