Armenia's Alina Charaeva claimed a sensational victory over world number one Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan in the second round of the WTA-1000 tournament in Beijing, China.
The world number 118 won the match with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. The contest lasted 2 hours and 12 minutes.
Alina Charaeva's next opponent will be the world number 129, Britain's Sonay Kartal.
The prize fund for the Beijing tournament is $9.4 million.
