Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus commented on the situation surrounding 41-year-old forward Cristiano Ronaldo following the 4–2 victory over Denmark in the third round of the Nations League.
"It isn't hard for me to stay focused. It would be difficult not to understand what is happening within the team or not to know how to coach my players.
What matters is what we need to do. Nothing else concerns me. What is happening isn't tearing the team apart. This situation won't divide us," A Bola quotes the 72-year-old manager as saying.
It is worth noting that Ronaldo left the national team camp on September 30 after head coach Jorge Jesus informed him that he would not be in the starting lineup for the Nations League match against Denmark. The forward later commented on his departure.
