Real Madrid defender leaves national team camp

Real Madrid defender Ibrahima Konate has sustained a right knee injury and left the French national team camp early, the national team's press service reports.

The 27-year-old Konate has already returned to Real Madrid and will undergo his recovery and rehabilitation under the supervision of the club's medical staff.

Konate has been replaced in the French squad by 20-year-old Manchester United defender Leny Yoro, who has joined the national team for the first time.

In the Nations League group stage, the French national team—under the management of Zinedine Zidane—will play away matches against Turkey (September 25) and Belgium (September 28), followed by home matches against Italy (October 2) and Belgium (October 5).
