In the fifth round of the Spanish La Liga, defending champions Barcelona played an away match against Levante. The team led by German manager Hans-Dieter Flick secured a 4–2 victory (video).
19-year-old Spanish midfielder Javi Espart opened the scoring in the fifth minute. In the 19th minute, Lamine Yamal—the 19-year-old winger for the Spanish national team doubled the visitors' lead; he also successfully converted a penalty in the 48th minute.
The hosts scored two goals late in the match, but in stoppage time, Karim Adeyemi—the 24-year-old forward for the Catalan team and the German national squad—scored the visitors' fourth goal.
Brazilian forward Raphinha provided two assists.
Barcelona tops the standings with 15 points, leading second-placed Real Madrid by 3 points. Levante sits in 13th place with 5 points.
